Trainer & Educational Director
Aliza Stewart is an internationally known Feldenkrais Method Trainer and practitioner. She has been a Feldenkrais practitioner for 35 years. She has trained teachers in the Feldenkrais Institute of New York, Feldenkrais Trainings in Baltimore and other professional teacher trainings through the U.S., Europe, Israel and Brazil. She has been the Educational Director of the Boston Feldenkrais Training and the current Baltimore Feldenkrais Training. Aliza has presented classes, workshops, and lectures for many institutions and organizations that research alternative methods of rehabilitation.
Originally trained and performed widely as a concert pianist, Ms. Stewart has a great affinity for the needs and problems of performers. She helps musicians recover from playing related injuries and gives them tools to improve their overall sound and technique.
Feldenkrais For Musicians
Aliza is the Director of the Baltimore Feldenkrais Center, where she applies the Method to working with children with various challenges and adults with neuro-physical impairments as a result of neurological diseases like strokes, etc… She often works in conjunction with physicians, physical therapists, and mental health professionals.
In the new reality of virtual learning, Aliza teaches classes whose participants come from all over the U.S. and Europe. She considers it her mission to spread this practical use of learned mobility for the health of everyone.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic various classes and private sessions are being conducted online via Zoom. Aliza has been teaching online for months and is able to work with you and give quality instruction.
